FARMERS in the province of Bua will be able to access services that they only usually have access to in Labasa and Suva.
Secretary to the bose vanua ko Bua Tui Wainunu Ratu Orisi Baleitavea said one of the main purposes of the showcase was to bring in all the services to their doorstep.
“The province of Bua is one which is quite isolated from most basic services so the people have to pay a fortune to get to access these services,” Ratu Orisi said.
“Take for instance, if a person from Wainunu wants to buy a vehicle, they have to travel to Suva to have the best offers with travelling costs over rounding up to $400 and even if they travel to Labasa, one has to pay up to $150 in travelling costs.”
Ratu Orisi said the showcase was anticipated to be another success and he called on people to use the event to their advantage.
