Update: 5:43PM THE family of Samuela Ralawe, 32, whose body was found floating near Mosquito Island in Lami last Thursday is still trying to come to terms with his death.
Mr Ralawe’s aunt Mereia Bale, who had helped her parents raise him since he was an eight-month-old baby, said he would be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
“He worked on board a fishing vessel and was also studying. Every time when he came home he would supply fish to all the widows and elderly people in our area,” Ms Bale said.
The post mortem of Mr Ralawe’s body was done today.
But, police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said the cause of his death could not be divulged at the moment.
Ms Bale said identifying her nephew’s body last Friday at the CWM Hospital was quite difficult as his body was in a bad condition.
She said Mr Ralawe’s face was swollen and quite blackish, thus making it difficult for her to identify him.
Mr Ralawe’s funeral will be held on Wednesday.
