TWO companies, Shah Enterprise and Naushima Auto Performance, hosted a fundraiser for the Fiji Cancer Society raising $3500.

According to the director of Shah Enterprise, Sharoof Shah, the idea had been given by the director of Naushima, Naushad Moveen.

He said one of their friends was going through cancer stages which was very heartbreaking and they thought to raise awareness and some funds to at least help save a life.

Mr Shah said this was their fifth event together and they were looking for more in coming future.

“We were surely pleased to see the outcome on the show date.

“We have donated over $3500 to Fiji Cancer Society which shall be utilised towards the cancer patients.”

He said the funds were collected from entry fees of vehicles and spectators fees.

“This is fairly important for everyone to come along and assist as where possible as no one knows that there can be a time where our families seek assistance for medical treatments.

“Therefore to my knowledge it is very important to assist as we can, it doesn’t have to be in hundreds as even a dollar can help save a life so why not.”

Previously, Mr Shah said, they had helped provide assistance for old people’s homes and orphanages.

“Our main message behind this event was ‘you don’t have to be a millionaire to make a difference, a dollar can make a difference’.

“We surely would like to thank all our sponsors who have assisted us,” Mr Shah said.

The show was hosted at the Namaka Public School grounds on March 20, 2021.
