Face your life challenges, Minister reminds graduates

FACE your challenges in life and never give up.

These were the sentiments echoed by Minister for Education Rosy Akbar while officiating at the Fiji National University College of Humanities and Education graduation at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva today.

She reminded the graduates that education was the greatest weapon that could change the world for them.

Ms Akbar told the graduates that the life ahead of them was going to be a challenging one.

“The next phase in your life will be more challenging. Take responsibility in what you do. This is the fruit of your hard work,” she said.

Four separate graduation ceremonies are scheduled to be held this week with a total of 1396 students graduating.

The students will graduate with Postgraduate Diploma in Social Policy, Certificate in Education, Bachelor of Education (Primary), Bachelor of Education (Secondary), Higher Education Diploma (Primary), Higher Education Diploma in Education (Secondary), Higher Education Certificate teaching in technical and Vocational education and training, Higher Education Certificate in Early Childhood Education, Diploma in Media and Journalism, Diploma in Sports Science, Certificate IV in Ageing and Community Support Care, Certificate IV in Child Care, Certificate IV in Graphic Arts, Certificate IV in Graphic Design, Certificate IV in Music, Certificate IV in screening, printing and signage, Certificate IV in Sports Science, Certificate III in Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy, Teachers Certificate III in Technical and vocational education and training.

A total of 415 students graduated today.
