Exposure for Nadogo

THE Nadogo under-14 team returned home with more exposure and experience from playing in the 2016 Vodafone Fiji Primary Schools Football Championship at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
Manager Avinash Nair says the players were committed to the sport despite the travelling difficulties.
“We were the furthest travelling team since it took us one day to travel by boat and two and half hours from Nadogo to Nabouwalu Jetty. It was a long trip,” he said.
“The schools are located very far and it was hard to get together and train the boys. We had a week of preparation in the lead-up to the tournament. Most of the players are from Lagalaga, Nasasa, Daku and Nakelikoso.
The side recorded mixed results with a draw against Nasinu and lost to Ba and Navosa.
Nair said if the boys had more time together than they should be giving better results in future.
