Expect water cut tonight, Authority tells Toorak customers

Update: 7:10PM THE Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) workers are carrying out pipe relocation works at the junction of Brewster and Amy Street in Toorak, Suva from 10pm today until 2am tomorrow.

As a result, customers living within Amy
St, Toorak Rd, Brewster St, High St, Eden St, Dudley St, Huon St, Charles St, Spring
St, Johnson St and Brewster St areas are advised to store water now.

“The Authority is kindly advising its customers
residing in these areas to store and use water wisely for their immediate needs
during the temporary disruption period. However, water carts will be on standby
to service the affected areas as and when the need arises,” a WAF statement
read.

The interruption in supply will be a
result of the proposed relocation works along Brewster and Amy Street, it said.

While the Authority highly regrets
any inconvenience caused to its customers, it says supply is expected to be restored
by 3am.
