Ex-FNPF employee, Hiramatsu granted bail

THE Suva Magistrates Court has granted bail to a former Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF) employee who is facing charges of illegally obtaining funds from the FNPF.

Jack Edward Hiramatsu appeared before Magistrate Dipika Prakash.

The accused appeared in Court yesterday but was remanded because he did not provide proper sureties.

Mr Hiramatsu is also due to appear in Court again this afternoon on similar charges, along with five others.

The six accused persons are alleged to have colluded to use forged Certificate of Titles to withdraw more than $31,000 from four of the accused persons FNPF accounts.
