WE head COP 23. We lecture the world about safe and clean environmental issues, while a mill emits thick soot, a garbage dump burns and a water catchment is algae filled.
Sending all manner of toxins into the air and into our nostrils and our stomachs for an imminent health disaster.
We can demand, as citizens, for these to be rectified immediately, for the safety of our health and wellbeing.
Demand! Hah! In any other country, maybe. But I will go with the old adage, “charity begins at home”.
So perhaps the powers that are could be charitable enough to sort out the mess at our beloved home first.
Only then we will have the moral authority to lecture the world.
Please! Pretty please!
