EFL plans power shutdowns for power line maintenance

ENERGY Fiji Limited has planned power shutdowns in the North, Central and Western divisions tomorrow.

According to EFL, the planned shutdown is scheduled so urgent power line maintenance can be carried out to ensure public safety and security of power in the long term.

Areas expected to be affected are:

Labasa: NGCL Crusher, Vunimoli – 8.30am-4.30pm

Sasawira Subdivision, Nakasi – 8am-5pm

Taunovo, Deuba – 9am-4.30pm

Part of Lomolomo, Lautoka – 8.30am-5pm

Part of Kings Road, Rakiraki – 9am-4.30pm, and

Part of Kings Road, Tavua – 8.30am-4.30pm.

Meanwhile, there is an unplanned emergency power outage affecting the following areas in Savusavu – National Fire Authority, Long Investment Limited, Qaraniqito, Naqere, Savudrodro, Urata, Saverekareka, Copra mill, Balaga, Nadamole, Vodafone repeater, Digicel repeater, Vatulele, Vuadomo, Nasekawa, Nakawaqa, Nukubolu, Bagata, Nabalebale, Levuka, Vakativa, Naloaloa, Tuvurara, Nakasa, Nakorovatu, Korovatu Health Centre, West Coast Road.

EFL’s team is carrying out some emergency maintenance works along those areas and hope to restore power supply to the affected areas by 6pm today.
