SYDNEY, 15 DECEMBER 1208 (NRL) – Corey Norman has this afternoon been released from the final year of his contract by the Parramatta Eels.
The 28-year-old five-eighth, who has played 167 games in the NRL, has been linked with an immediate switch to St George Illawarra although the Dragons are yet to make any official announcements concerning his potential signing.
It is understood Norman’s manager, Paul Sutton, is on an overseas holiday and the paperwork is likely to be finalised in the next 24 hours.
Norman, who made his Telstra Premiership debut with Brisbane in 2010, played 67 matches for the Broncos before tallying 102 appearances for the Eels over the past five seasons.
He was an integral part of Parramatta’s charge to the 2017 preliminary final and is viewed as one of the NRL’s best attacking halves.
