FIJIANS travelling to West Africa are being advised to take necessary precautions by the Ministry of Health because of the outbreak of the Ebola Virus Disease.
A travel advisory has been issued against travelling to Guinea, Sierra, Leone, Liberia and Nigeria until further notice.
A Ministry of Information statement read the advisory follows the advice of the World Health Organization which declared an International Health Emergency to prevent the spread of the disease.
“The ministry wants to reassure the people of Fiji that, to date, there have been no reported cases of EVD in the South Pacific, including Fiji,” the statement read.
