DESPITE their 17-11 win today against Lelean Memorial School at the Eastern Zone Secondary School Rugby competition, U14 coach for the Ratu Kadavulevu School rugby team said his team was more capable of performing better.
Ulaiasi Lawe who is also a teacher at Lodoni said his young brigade was still developing as they were just enrolling into the system.
“l feel it’s a long way to go judging from how they played today,” Lawe said.
He said the game pattern that was instructed to them was not executed today at the Sila school grounds.
“We still need a lot of time together,” he said.
“From my observation, by the quarter-finals, then we should be ready.”
Lawe said he was still trying to trial out all his 40 boys.
He said his boys needed to go up another notch because their brothers in the higher grades were doing very well.
“I’m really happy with their performance but they really need to step up.”
