A 5.3 magnitude earthquake with a shallow depth of 10km occurred near Vunisea, Kadavu this morning.
According to the Mineral Resources Department it occurred around 8.31am.
The MRD added the earthquake does not pose any immediate tsunami threat to the region.
People from Nadi, Kadavu, Navua and Nausori have posted on Facebook reporting they have felt the earthquake this morning.
