Earthquake in Papua New Guinea region

Update: 3:55PM A 5.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Papua New Guinea region this afternoon but it did not pose any threat.
The earthquake was recorded at a depth of 10 kilometres at 2:46pm and was 180km west from Arawa in PNG.
It was 735km northwest from Honiara in Solomon Islands and 2984km northwest from Suva.
The Mineral Resources Department’s Seismology Unit said it was a moderate size earthquake with shallow depth source location.
