TWO professional boxers Joseph Kwadjo and Napoleon Taumoepeau are helping amateur boxers prepare for the Olympic Games qualification next month.
National coach Pauliasi Ratu said their expertise would help the boxers a great deal.
“Joseph and Napoleon are no strangers to boxing and they have come on board to help us in the preparation for the qualification round,” he said.
“They are professionals and my boxers are learning a lot from them.
“Things are good for us, so far.”
Fiji will be represented by Tina Ruata in the light heavyweight, Winston Hill and Pauliasi Ratu Jnr in the welterweight .
Ratu said the boxers were training very hard to secure a place in the Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil.
“These boys are amateur and they need a lot of guidance,” he added.
“The boxers are learning how to score points.
“Nothing is impossible for us if we believe in ourselves and I had been telling the boxers that we can qualify for the Olympics.”
The qualification will be held in China from March 23.
