Drua prepares for Australian competition

ELEVEN Flying Fijians have been drafted into the Fiji Airways Drua team for the Australian National Championships.

The Drua started their preparation last Saturday for their first match next month that will be held at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.

Coach Senirusi Seruvakula said the NRC competition has had a positive mpact on the local players.

“Last year we had two players who after the competition were drafted into the Flying Fijians team. These two were local based players,” Seruvakula said.

“We have eleven players this year, this competition is the pathway to the Warriors and Flying Fijians teams.

The Drua team will take on Melbourne Rising in their first encounter in the NRC competition at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori
