Drua players depart to join Flying Fijians

THE eight selected Fiji Airways Drua players departed the country this morning to join the Flying Fijians squad who are training in France preparing for their three test matches this month.

After a splendid performance in the National Rugby Championship final on Saturday, the selected local based players will boost the preparation of the Fijian Alpha rugby team that will be playing against Scotland, France and Uruguay this month.

The eight Drua players that were selected to be part of the Flying Fijian side are Joeli Veitayaki, Eroni Mawi, Mesulame Dolokoto, Ratu Veremalua Vugakoto, Mosese Voka, Albert Tuisue, Frank Lomani and Alivereti Veitokani.

Another eight players have also been selected to be on standby with the likes of Ratunaisa Navuma, Tuapati Talemaitoga, Api Ratuniyarawa, Semi Kunatani, Seru Vularika, Nikola Matawalu, Benito

Masilevu and Sevanaia Galala while five players are unavailable for selection due to injury like Waisea Nayacelevu, Nemani Nadolo, Timoci Nagusa, Kini Murmurivalu, and Patrick Osbourne.

Fiji will play Scotland on November 10 then they take on Uruguay on the 17th in England while their last game will be against France on the 24th in France.
