The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will work on different patterns of play in order to overcome the might of the Crusaders at the Orangetheory Stadium in Christchurch, New Zealand this Friday.
The Fijian Drua have a short turnaround period having played the Moana Pasifika in Sydney, Australia last Sunday.
The side travelled back to its base camp on the Gold Coast after the game and held a recovery and medical session on Monday.
Fijian Drua head coach Mick Byrne said they held clarity sessions in the early training sessions this week.
“It will be about what new plays we are going to have for the weekend,” Byrne said
. “We will probably like to keep that up our sleeve until we show that against the Crusaders on Friday night.
“We will just go out and look at what we are going to do against the Crusaders and make sure our players understand that. It’s the different line out patterns, different scrum plays or a different defensive system. We will work through those so that everybody understands their role in a new scrum play, a new line out play, a new attacking play or a new defensive play.”
The match will kicks off at 7.05pm.
