Dragons want second U19 title

BA Provincial Freebird Institute Dragons are hopeful to make it back to back titles when the side takes on Nasinu Secondary School Panthers in the Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League under-19 final in Tavua today.
The institute has received tremendous support from champion Lautoka club Saru Dragons.
Ba Provincial will also feature in the U17 final for the first time at Garvey Park.
Rimal Chand who is the vice president of Ba Provincial said the boys were raring to go.
Chand said the side had prepared well.
“We are optimistic to win the U19 title,” he said.
“We are aiming for back to back titles. The institute has made another history with the U17 team qualifying for the final for the first time.
“Our rugby league development is quite strong. There is big focus on it and now we are reaping the rewards.”
The Saru Dragons have been supporting the institute throughout the season. Chand said they had a lot of respect for the Panthers.
“We are quite grateful to the Saru Dragons for all the support and their management and coaching staff have really assisted a lot,” Chand said.
“We respect Nasinu because they are a strong side. Nothing should be taken away from our school as well because the boys have trained hard and we will do the talking on the field.”
The institute is unbeaten this season.
The finals start at 10am with the U15 curtain-raiser between Tavua District and Vatukaloko, followed by U15 final between Natabua and Ratu Navula at 11am, then the U17 final between Natabua and Ba Provincial at 12midday, an U19 curtain-raiser between Tavua District and Vatukaloko will be held at 1.10pm and the U19 final is scheduled to start at 2.30pm.
