POLICE have confirmed that the investigation file on murdered Russian couple Yuri and Natalia Shipulin was sent to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), and it was returned with “guidance”.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said investigators were working on this “guidance”.
“The investigations into the murder of the Russian couple are continuing and at this point in time we do not have a person of interest as a key suspect,” she said.
“The investigating team remains focused from day one on conducting a thorough investigation to find whoever is responsible for the shocking act.”
In July, police confirmed the couple had been killed after they were reported missing in mid-June.
Human remains found washed ashore along Natadola beach were also identified as that of the Russian couple.
