Nine police officers are among the 49 people charged with serious non-sexual violence offences, statistics released by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions stated.
According to the statistics, there were 32 victims of the 48 counts of separate incidents.
Of the 49 accused persons, five were juveniles and nine were police officers
There was one incident where six police officers were charged with the murder of a 27-year-old man.
It is alleged the police officers assaulted the victim over several hours that resulted in his death.
A 54-year-old police officer was charged with assault causing actual bodily harm to his 54-year-old wife.
A 39-year-old police officer was charged with one count of dangerous driving.
And there was one incident where a 28-year-old police officer was charged alongside another man with conspiracy to defraud.
