DISTRAUGHT mother Losalini Lalaia says she has hope that her three-year-old daughter is still alive and well.

When this newspaper visited her home in Kalekana, Lami yesterday, Ms Lalaia was with her eight-month-old baby and in tears.

“I don’t know where or who might have taken my daughter,” she said.

“I have been praying for my eldest daughter to return home.”

The 23-year-old said she was still stumped by the disappearance as the incident was unexpected.

“I just hope we find her and that everything is OK.

“We have looked everywhere, to all our relatives and all over the residence in the area but nobody has seen her.”

Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said police were reaching out to the public for assistance in locating the missing child.

She said a missing persons report was lodged at the Lami Police Station on last Saturday.
