A CHARITY dinner hosted by Telecom Fiji Ltd last month highlighted efforts to raise funds for victims of breast cancer.
This resulted in a cheque worth $3327.20 being handed over to the Fiji Cancer Society at a Pinktober morning tea in Suva yesterday.
TFL chief executive officer Mothilal De Silva said the company and staff members would continue to support the awareness campaign during the month of October.
“At the dinner, it was indeed gratifying to see the enormous support from the TFL fraternity and I am positive we will continue to support this drive to raise awareness,” Mr De Silva said.
“We will help to reduce the stigma associated with breast cancer through education on symptoms and treatment.”
Telecom’s business and marketing manager, Alrina Ali, added the campaign highlighted the importance of women’s empowerment.
“As part of TFL’s pledge in sharing happiness, October has become a very important month on our business calendar,” Ms Ali said.
