THE new Digital Fiji app was officially launched by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama this afternoon at the Births, Deaths and Marriages office in Lautoka.

The digital platform allows Fijians to access BDM services online without having to wait in long queues.

While launching the app, the PM said mothers of newborns born after June would be able to access the services from anywhere in Viti Levu.

“All Fijian babies born on or after June 3rd of this year at any of these hospitals in the West can now register via the app,” he said.

He added the services would also be extended to Vanua Levu and Taveuni from July 5.
