The Rewa women’s football team defeated Suva 1-0 in the Digicel Women’s Super League round eight of the competition last Saturday at Fiji FA Academy Ground in Vatuwaqa, Suva.

Ro Niumidradra scored the lone goal in the 67th minute for Rewa.

Suva coach Inosi Cava was disappointed with result.

“I am disappointed with the outcome of the game,” he said.

“I can’t do much because I am not getting numbers in training.

“Most the girls are committed in their jobs but we will try to get back and improve,” said Cava.

Rewa coach Immanual Prasad was happy with the result.

“I am happy with the team’s performance today(Saturday) compared to our last week game as the girls really played according to the game plan,” said Prasad.

“There are some areas of concern but I am sure the girls will improve in the remaining matches.”

Rewa is on third place on the DWSP points table with 12 points while Suva is on fifth place with three points.
