The Northland-Tailevu football side has moved up to third position on the Digicel Senior League Viti Levu Zone points table after a draw against Tavua on Sunday at Ratu Cakobau Park ground two in Nausori.

Coach Kritesh Prasad said the hard work and dedication of his players resulted in the win.

“I am so proud of my boys. They really played their heart out and getting a point against Tavua is a morale booster,” said an elated Prasad.

“The boys are improving game by game because they are dedicated and disciplined.”

“We have a very young team with most youth players, but they are doing their best,” the former Northland-Tailevu rep.

Northland-Tailevu is on third place with 10 points after playing eight matches in which they have won three, lost four and a draw.

They will face Rakiraki in round nine of the competition this weekend.

Meanwhile, Lami FC registered its first win in the competition after an impressive 4-0 win against Rakiraki on Sunday at Fiji FA Academy ground in Vatuwaqa, Suva.
