This Christmas, Digicel is urging Fijians to reunite, rediscover and reconnect with the people, places and things they have missed the most like our family at home, at church and around the country.
According to Digicel, recent times have made us realize the importance of reaching out to loved ones and staying connected.
Digicel launched its Christmas campaign, themed ‘Let’s Reconnect this Christmas’ yesterday.
To celebrate the reconnection with families, loved ones and the community, Digicel is giving away $50,000 in cash and prizes to its customers through the ‘Shake to Win’ promotion on the MyDigicel App. These prizes include shopping vouchers, domestic family holidays, Christmas gift hampers and a Grand Prize cash giveaway.
To embody this festive spirit in a true Fijian style, Digicel has donated a total of $15,000 towards assisting COVID affected households, providing meals to school children and helping specially-abled children. The company also recognised the hard work from the nation’s front liners this Christmas by hosting morning tea parties in various localities for police, nurses and market vendors.
“This year we celebrate the joy of giving in every home in Fiji. It means that once again we’re reminded of God giving to us his Son, Jesus Christ and in that knowledge, we are inspired to celebrate the joy of Christmas with each other, at home, at church, at work and all around Fiji,” said Digicel Fiji chief executive officer Farid Mohammed.
He continued; “It’s also a time for more. More fun, more entertainment, more laughter, more everything and if our customers had one wish this Christmas, it would be for more too. So that’s exactly what we’re giving them this Christmas. We are also not forgetting our contribution to society and are giving away donations worth $15,000 to various charitable organizations.”
The Christmas promotion ends on December 31, 2021.
