Diamonds thrash Pearls

AUSTRALIA Diamonds outshined Fiji Pearls yesterday.

Fiji lost 23-108 at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre yesterday.

Fiji recorded its third consecutive loss in the competition after having lost to Jamaica and Barbados.

The Vicky Wilson-coached side could not keep up with the pace of their opponents in the fast paced match.

The Australian players controlled every facet of the match and gave very little chance for the Fijian players to move on the court and score goals.

Fiji trailed 32-7 at the end of the first quarter and then 55-15 at the at the half time.

Fiji only managed to score three times in the third quater which ended in the Australia’s favour with a scoreline of 82-18.

Fiji tried to put the ball in the net whenever they were given the opportunity as the final score was 108-23 to Australia.

Fiji plays South Africa tonight.
