Developing talented female chefs

VALENTIN Corchado is the chef and trainer behind the Master Class story that has seen 12 contestants through three of four shows that will crown one female chef the winner at the finale on Thursday, November 16 at the HOTEC 2017 trade show.
Master Class Fiji is a unique training and competition event where the best chef and hospitality professionals in Fiji work together to support and promote the hospitality industry.
This time Master Class’s main aim was to promote equality and gender balance in our kitchens, through the introduction of culinary scholarships for high potential Fijian female chefs.
The 2017 live cooking challenge has gathered popularity on social media and has had huge support from executive chefs in the industry providing training, judging and assistance to support the development of local female chefs in Fiji.
The 3rd of the 4-round Master Class Fiji competition was held on Friday, November 10 at the Nadi Sports Club and now the 12 contestants will present their skills at HOTEC 2017 to have one final winner announced.
