Delainavesi attack suspect remanded

A 25-YEAR-OLD man charged with six counts of attempted act to cause grievous harm, five counts of resisting arrest and one count of damaging property has been remanded into custody.
Samuela Rokokaci Bokadi who is alleged to have struck six police officers with a cane knife, resisted arrested from four officers and also damaged the property of the Fiji Police Force all to the total value of $585.49 made his first appearance before Magistrate Waleen George at the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon.
Bokadi is alleged to have ravaged the Delainavesi Community Post on Tuesday as he chased after his partner who fled to the police post for help after a confrontation at their home.
Magistrate George has transferred the matter to the High Court in Suva as Bokadi is charged with an indictable offence.
The matter has been adjourned to August 9 for mention.
