DEE Cees Nadera Panthers survived a tough Coastline Roos onslaught to secure a 12-10 win in the Fiji National Rugby League Sigatoka 9s tournament at Lawaqa Park yesterday.

Both teams scored two tries each but the conversion made the difference as Panthers walked away with the $2,000 top prize money.

Head coach Vula Dakuitoga said his boys played their hearts out to win the tournament.

He said his youth dominated team was stretched to the wire against some of the best teams in the country.

Dakuitoga said the win has challenged his young boys the maintain the consistency in future tournaments.

The Roos won $1,000 for losing in the final.
