Daylight saving has been reduced by one month for 2020, stated a Government gazette published this week.

It will start at 2am on December 20, 2020, and end at 3am on January 17, 2021, compared with a start date of November 10, 2019, and end date of January 12, 2020.

Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations Parveen Kumar has authorised the gazette notice for the 2020 daylight saving period.

“I declare the consecutive days between 20 December 2020, and 17 January 2021, inclusive as the daylight saving period.”
