I, FOR one, am in favour of daylight saving and do not understand why people are objecting.
The advantages are obvious, one extra hour in the evening for recreational activity. Just go to Albert Park on a weekday in November at 7pm to see what I mean. The benefits of exercise are well known. Perhaps those objecting use their time to sit at tables and write letters.
The only disadvantage I have heard of is that it gets lighter one hour later in the morning, but it gets light at 6.30am in our so-called winter, so what is the difference? I should confess that I am not an early riser and don’t milk cows.
