IF you have an ambition, you can rise to the top of your chosen profession regardless of your beginning.

Fiji’s Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources Ashneel Sudhakar made these comments while officiating at the Global Surveyors Day celebration held at Bowling Club in Suva earlier today.

Mr Sudhakar says land surveying is the second oldest profession in the world but unfortunately it is poorly understood by many.

“This year’s celebration is set aside by the International of Surveyors (FIG) to honour surveyors universally,” he said.

“It will also be a day set aside to recognise and promote the enormous contribution by surveyors and the surveying profession in all aspects of life and the development of our nation.”
