RAIJIELI DAVEUA wants to regain her spot in the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team.

She said she was ready to reclaim her spot in the team after coach Iliesa Tanivula had confirmed he would include her for the remainder of the HSBC World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series and the Sevens World Cup in USA.

“I will never give up trying and I will get there to be part of the Fijiana 7s team,” Daveua said after her side lost to Marist Seahawks 0-24 at the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s women’s competition yesterday.

The Fiji Corrections Service officer is trying to find her form in rugby after her training stint with the Fiji Pearls netball team in the past months.

Daveua failed to make the trip to the Gold Coast after Netball Fiji dropped her from its Commonwealth Games final list.

Tanivula was not able to include her name in his final 18-member 7s team because she was included in the netball squad.

“This is not the end of the journey, but a challenge in my sporting career,” the dual international said.
