THE Daveta Rugby 7s team was crowned the champions of the Singapore Cricket Club 7s tournament.

The side defeated Casuarina Cougars 25-17 in the final and the icing of the cake was the achievement of two members of the team.

Mesake Varo was named the man of the final while Leveni Tani was selected as the man of the tournament.

Former national 7s rep Jiuta Lutumailagi coached the team to victory and his management team included Api Deku as manager with Nadroumai herbal doctor Isei Naiova as their team physio.
