FILIPO Daugunu showed why the Queensland Reds resigned him.

The former Fiji Football Association player scored five tries yesterday but was spoiled by a red card for a dangerous tackle in a Super Rugby trial mismatch against the Melbourne Rebels.

Rugby.com.au reported the Reds beat the understrength Rebels 57-5 in Gladstone on Friday, with winger Daugunu the benefactor in the first of two pre-season games before the Super Rugby season begins later this month.

Meanwhile, Flying Fijians Leone Nakarawa will be back in a Glasgow jersey for the first time since 2016 as Warriors bid to beat the odds and reach the Heineken Champions Cup quarter-finals.

The former Racing 92 lock will face Sale in the final pool match today as Dave Rennie makes five changes following their 31-31 draw with group winners Exeter.

The Kadavu man signed with Sale after being sacked by Racing 92 for returning late from the Rugby World Cup.
