The 2023 Coca-Cola Games will be held from May 2-4 at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
The secondary schools athletics annual competition falls mid-week from Tuesday to Thursday.
The Ministry of Education, in consultation with the games committee, confirmed the dates fall in the last week of this term one.
“The current dates have been confirmed to ensure that students and teachers can enjoy their holidays without any disruptions before starting term 2,” said the current Acting Permanent Secretary for Education Rovereto Nayacalevu.
Nayacalevu reiterated while encouraging students to participate in the games because it helped them balanced growth and development, he reminded teachers and students to exercise extreme care and responsibility.
This is to ensure that everyone enjoyed the games without any hindrance.
The Ministry extended its best wishes to all schools and athletes as they prepare for the Coke Games.
