Dad hurt in ‘attack’

A man is under investigation in Rakiraki for allegedly striking his father with a knife on Monday morning.

The alleged incident happened at Vunitogoloa Village.

The father was lighting a fire in the cooking area when his son is alleged to have struck him on the head, resulting in a deep gash. Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said the suspect was in custody at the Rakiraki Police Station.

She said the victim was in a stable condition at hospital.
