Customer service continues to be a concern for the Fiji Police Force.

And the Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu has yet again reminded officers of the importance of serving people with humility.

During the Fiji Police Force Training of Trainers for Customer Service Workshop, Mr Tudravu said the workshop was an opportunity for his officers to make a difference and change the perception that was at hand. However, he said officers would need to be determined.

He also reminded participants that customer service was all about having empathy, understanding, patience, humility and all human virtues and putting themselves in other people’s shoes.

A similar workshop was conducted in the Western Division where the acting Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Itendra Nair officiated.

DCP Nair urged participating officers to respect everyone that visited their station for assistance.

“With customer service, let’s go the extra mile. Go above and beyond the call of duty,” he said.

The Southern and Eastern divisions’ training sessions were held at the Fiji Police Academy in Suva.
