Culling of cattle infected with TB to continue for few years: Cole

ALTHOUGH culling of cattle as a result of TB is likely to continue for the next few years, most in the industry feel that the worst is behind us, says chairman of Fiji Cooperative Dairy Company Ltd, Simon Cole.

In a press statement issued yesterday, Mr Cole said the resilience of farmers to stick with the dairy industry in difficult times was impressive.

He said Fiji’s dairy farmers were moving closer to earning a proper price per litre for their milk.
