EIGHTEEN players have been selected by Cricket Fiji to represent the nation to the lCC East Asia Pacific Sub-Regional World T20 Qualifier next month.

Cricket Fiji director Josefa Rika said the selected individuals were the best from their individual clubs.

“I’d say we have a very diverse squad, I think it’s very balanced. The selectors have done a good job to see we’ve got the youths and experience as well in one team and three overseas-based players as well,” Rika said.

Four of the selected players will make their debut in August and two overseas-based cricketers are also in the team.

The tournament will be held at Suva’s Albert Park from August 23-30.
