The University of the South Pacific has further extended its mid-semester break for all its students until April 17, 2020.

In a statement issued today, USP vice-chancellor Professor Pal Ahluwalia said that students were strongly advised against going to any of the campuses during this period.

“Further to the Fiji Government announcement on 2nd April regarding measures for Suva, USP DISMAC resolved that USP extend the mid-semester break for all its students up to Friday 17, April 2020,” Prof Ahluwalia said.

“Please note that students at all campuses are strongly advised not to come to campuses during this period and to observe national protocols in their countries and follow advice from their campus directors.”

He reiterated this arrangement would be in place until April 17.

A further advisory will be issued before April 17 to clarify matters.
