Tourism Fiji says while COVID-19 continues to spread across the world, there is some encouraging signs as the containment measures in a few of the major source markets have enabled a gradual easing of some restrictions in those countries.

Chief executive officer Matthew Stoeckel said while Fiji continued with its global messaging of  ‘Sota tale stay safe and we’ll see you soon’, they presented the organisation’s approach and messaging for stage two of our Market Re-entry Model last Friday.

He said this was in anticipation that they would be able to progress to stage two of its re-entry model soon.

“At the webinar, we presented that our stage two messaging will be ‘Our Bula Spirit Awaits You’,” Mr Stoeckel said.

“It’s a message of positivity and optimism. And it’s one that lets us showcase our greatest asset, our people.  As well as this the message is very adaptable and at the webinar we shared many examples of how we will bring it to life through activities and promotions.

“When we enter stage two, we will again be looking for industry to align with our messaging, so we can be talking to our consumers with one voice.

“There will be many opportunities for industry to participate as we focus on inspiring people to consider and choose Fiji as their next holiday destination.”
