Mohammed Saheeb, the 54-year-old man of Labasa charged with one count of failing to comply with self-quarantine restrictions has been bailed.

He appeared in a special court sitting before Magistrate Senileba Levaci and was ordered to surrender all travel documents.

Ms Levaci also ordered that he report to the Labasa Police Station every fortnight beginning from June 6, 2020.

Police prosecutor Subramani Naidu asked that Mr Saheeb be prevented from traveling outside Vanua Levu.

Ms Levaci objected to this saying there was no medical evidence to restrict Mr Saheeb from traveling out of Vanua Levu.

Ms Levaci ordered the two sureties a bail amount of $1000 each.
