Police recorded seven arrests for breach of national curfew restrictions in the last 48 hours.

Three arrests were recorded from last Sunday to Monday morning.

Fiji’s Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu  said those cases were recorded in the Western Division involving three men in their 30’s who were found drunk while traveling in a vehicle at Vatudradra in Nadroga.

From 11pm last night to 4am today, four reports were recorded.

ACP Tudravu said the Northern Division recorded two cases while the Southern and Eastern Division recorded a case each.

He said the two arrests made in the North involved two men aged 31 and 25 years who were both found drunk and loitering in the Labasa area.

“The lone case in the Southern Division involved a 19-year-old man who was found drunk inside a parked bus at the Nabua area, while the lone case recorded in the Central Division involved a 27-year-old medical officer who was found drunk and walking along the Rewa Street area,” ACP Tudravu said.
