A 45-year-old school teacher is among eight people arrested for breaching curfew restrictions in the last 24 hours.

Fiji Police Commissioner Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho said the teacher was arrested with three others near the Wainibuku roundabout by officers who were on patrol.

The arrest of the four accounted for the reports received in the Eastern Division.

Three reports were recorded in the Western Division and one in the Southern Division.

“We have been receiving enquiries about a change in the curfew hours and we reiterate once again that the nationwide curfew remains from 10pm to 5am daily,” Brig-Gen Qiliho said.
