Roadblocks have been erected at the three main entry points into Suva as the lockdown announced by the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama came into effect at 5am this morning.

The three entry points are the Delainavesi Bridge, Rewa Bridge, and Sawani junction.

Police are calling on members of the public to cooperate with officials.

“We are pleading with everyone to cooperate with Police officers and officials manning the roadblocks so we are able to get through the 14-day isolation period without any major incidents,” said Police Commissioner Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho.
