COVID-19: Over 25,000 lab tests conducted

A total of 25,014 COVID-19 laboratory tests have been conducted, with a weekly average of 1120 tests over the last two weeks.

This is according to a statement by the Ministry of Health statement issued yesterday.

The statement says there have been zero new cases of COVID-19 since the last update on January 22, and there are currently zero active cases in Fiji.

“Fiji has had 55 cases in total, with 53 recoveries and two deaths, since our first case was reported on March 19, 2020,” the statement said.

“The last 37 cases have been international travel associated cases detected in border quarantine.

“It has been 282 days since the last case was detected outside border quarantine on April 18.”
