No new cases of COVID-19 were reported as of yesterday – Sunday, April 05, 2020.

So there are still 12 cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Fiji.

In a statement, the Government stated it would advise members of the public as soon as possible should this change.

Meanwhile, yesterday, Fiji’s Ministry of Health and Medical Services called on customers who had attended an appointment at Jades MHCC between March 23-26, 2020, and Supercuts Damodar level 2 on March 23, 25, or 30 or on April 1 to call the Toll-free Helpline on 158.

The Government said that Fiji remained on the highest level of alert in response to this global pandemic.

“We know that finding cases early and isolating them quickly is key to containing this disease. As the symptoms of COVID-19 are very similar to many other respiratory illnesses (including the common cold and influenza) it is expected that the ministry will continue to investigate more persons with relevant travel history and symptoms related to COVID-19,” the Government stated.
